How To Make Bath Bombs


Here are a few recipes to making great bath bombs.


Fizzy Bath Bombs:


Ingredients:

2 tbs citric acid

2 tbs cornstarch

1/4 cup baking soda

3 tbs coconut oil ( or any oil like almond, avocado or apricot)

1/4 tsp fragrance oil

3-6 drops of food coloring ( optional)

paper candy cups


Add all the dry ingredients ( first 3) into a medium bowl and mix well. Place the coconut oil into a small glass bowl and add the fragrance and food coloring. Slowly add the oil mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well. Place small amounts of mixture into 1" balls. Let the balls rest on a sheet of of waxed paper for about 2- 3 hours, then place each ball into one of the candy cups to dry and harden. This may take up to 24 hours to 48 hours. Make sure you keep the bombs in an air-tight container.


To use, pour a bath and drop 1 - 3 bombs into a bath of warm water. Grab a 'bubbly' drink, relax and enjoy!


Essential Scented Bath Bomb:- ( these will fizz when dropped into water)


Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups baking soda

1/2 cup citric acid

8 drops essential oil - your favourite scent

1/2 tsp sweet almond oil

2 drops food colouring - your favourite color


Mix and combine all the ingredients together and press into a muffin tin or mould of your choice. Once set, release from mould and wrap in colored plastic wrap and tie with your favourite ribbon.


TIP:

When selecting an oil for scent, read warning labels before use. Some oils are not intended to have direct contact with skin.
